About Steph George, LMT
Welcome!
Hi, I’m Steph George, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Portland, Oregon, specializing in pain and tension relief since 2004.
My practice focuses on helping clients find balance, reduce chronic pain, and improve mobility through personalized, therapeutic massage sessions.
I began practicing massage therapy after graduating from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy.
Since then, I’ve worked in wellness centers, private practice and now my home office in the Kerns neighborhood of NE Portland.
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and indoor climbing.
If everyone has a vice, then mine is skiing—in winter, I’m most likely to be found on the slopes of Mount Hood.
My Approach to Massage and Pain Relief
Throughout my career, I’ve found that clients are most drawn to my work for its pain and tension relieving qualities, so this has become my specialty. I am also committed to preventative self-care—I love empowering my clients to take charge of their own self-care by providing suggestions on stretches and self-massage techniques. This can work wonders in preventing those painful “emergencies” from recurring.
I am dedicated to meeting each person at their need and comfort level, whether you prefer a light touch for relaxation or deep tissue work for pain relief and recovery. Over the years, I’ve developed my practice with a wide range of therapies, including:
Sports massage for athletes
Injury rehabilitation and chronic pain relief
Deep tissue
Cupping
Gua sha
Hot stone massage
Hydrotherapy
Pre-natal & Postpartum massage
What You Need to Know
You’ll be able to customize the session and choose your preferred therapy styles—I offer a variety of massage therapies for relief, relaxation, and recovery. I don’t just focus on a symptom, I see the body in a more holistic way and look for factors that could be contributing to pain such as posture, work habits, hobbies, and past injuries.
